An Irrepressible Woman
Léon Blum, the Jewish French socialist politician and three-time Prime Minister, stands at the heart of a new film. Janot Reichenbach (Elsa Zylberstein) fell in love with Blum (Hippolyte Girardot) when she was only sixteen. Years later, when they could finally be together, the Nazis arrived in France and Janot gave up her comfortable life to link her destiny to that of Léon Blum.
This film screening is a part of the JCC Chicago Jewish Film Festival. It will be screened in French with English subtitles.
